Helen Cathcart

— CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — Helen Cathcart, 83, of Cambridge Springs, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville.
Born July 3, 1924, in Ellwood City, she was a daughter of Feodosi and Mary Maximo Loss. She married Harold Kennedy Cathcart; he preceded her in death in April 1991.
She graduated from Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, as a registered nurse. She worked at Edinboro University Health Center for 16 years and was also a housewife.
She was a member and an elder of Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beth Cathcart of Pittsburgh; three sons, Dr. Harold Kennedy Cathcart and his wife, Dr. Sharon Kennedy, of Spokane, Wash., William J. Cathcart and his wife, Maureen, of Lake Worth, Fla., and Timothy Charles Cathcart of Slippery Rock; two grandchildren, Steven Cathcart and Gretchen Cathcart; a sister, Mary Busch of Merrillville, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Church, 338 S. Main St., with Pastor Jerry Whitmore of the church officiating.
