CONNEAUTVILLE — Florence Cornelia Hubler, 82, of 9108 State Highway, Conneautville, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Rolling Fields.
Florence was born in Curwensville April 14, 1926, a daughter of the late Calvin R. and Laura A. Bloom Rowles. On Dec. 6, 1941, she married Wayne S. Hubler; he preceded her in death June 23, 1999.
She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport, where she had been a Sunday school teacher.
An employee of the Holiday Inn of Clearfield County for many years, Florence worked in the housekeeping department. She previously had been employed by MacGregor sportswear.
Florence is survived by three daughters, Diane J. Lingenfelter and her husband, George, of Evans City, Nanette F. Pritts and her husband, Renzie, of Keyser, W.Va., and Juanita K. Shutsa and her husband, Joseph, of Meadville; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Heather, David and Laura; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Stineman of York; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Wayne, of 57 years, and her parents, Florence was preceded in death by four brothers, Role, Ray, Russell and Ralph; and six sisters, Maude, Marian, Maxine, Melva, Margaret and an infant, Luella.
Family and friends are invited to call Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport Cutoff, Allport, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Karen Allen, pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in Palestine Cemetery, Graham Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 933 Park Ave., or the American Cancer Society, Crawford Unit, 464 Pine St., both of Meadville, Pa. 16335; or any Hospice organization.
