HAZEL PARK, Mich. — Brett W. White, 37, of Hazel Park, Mich., died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Mich., after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 25, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of William H. White and Karrin Branstrom White.

He attended Meadville Area Senior High School and graduated from Shawnee Senior High School, Lima, Ohio. He worked in computer services.

He was a free spirit who loved music, drawing and a wide circle of friends.

Survivors include his father of Lima; his mother of South Euclid, Ohio; his sister, Kim Walczak of Naperville, Ill.; his uncle and aunt, Ben and Nancy Haytock of Meadville; his maternal grandfather, Frank Branstrom of Meadville; a nephew, Henry Walczak; and cousins, Jennifer Haytock and Dawson Haytock (Kimberly).

Following cremation, his remains will be interred in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmstead, Ohio, where a memorial service will be conducted May 15.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, Liberty Street, Meadville, Pa. 16335; or a charity of the donor’s choice.
