GUYS MILLS — Joan A. Joiner, 74, of 26086 State Highway 27, Guys Mills, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Meadville Jan. 11, 1934, a daughter of Vernon and Ethel Cornwell Gable. She married John O.E. Joiner Jan. 2, 1956; he preceded her in death May 12, 2003.
She was a homemaker.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed camping, bingo, NASCAR, and the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis Joiner and his wife, Virginia, of Ruffs Dale, Steve Joiner of Guys Mills, and Scott Joiner and his wife, Heather, of Meadville; three grandchildren, Teresa, Stephanie and Cayla; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Gable of Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and many brothers and sisters.
Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rodney Johnson of First Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
