Raymond Edward Armel

LINESVILLE — Raymond Edward Armel, 61, of Linesville, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center in Arizona.
Born Dec. 25, 1946, in Willoughby, Ohio, he was a son of John R. and Frances Lagania Armel. He married Deborah S. Beaver Sept. 10, 1983.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Raymond served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. For 18 years, he worked as a welder fitter for Riley Power in Erie.
He was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville, Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 and Linesville American Legion Post 462.
Raymond enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting. Also, he enjoyed playing cards, traveling and attending the Beaver family vacations.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Deborah Armel of Linesville; a daughter, Jennifer Armel of Linesville; a son, Jon Armel of Linesville; and a sister, Carol Armel, and a niece, Pam Krause, both of Coolidge, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Arthur Krause.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father John A. Walsh officiating.
