SAEGERTOWN — Frances J. Myers, 87, a resident of Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Meadville Medical Center.
Born May 6, 1920, in Forest County, she was a daughter of Harry A. and Florence Dunkle Ishman. She married Daniel Varndell, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She retired as a practical nurse with Meadville Medical Center.
She was a member of Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Varndell and his wife, Cynthia, of Woodcock; a daughter, Etta Krider and her husband, Donald, of Meadville; a sister, Thelma (Dolly) Steffy and her husband, Elmer, of Dayton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Raybuck and Virginia Raybuck; and two brothers, Earl Ishman and Harry (Bart) Ishman.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roofner - Collins Funeral Home, Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sarah Roncolato of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Guys Mills.
The family suggests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
