Motorists coming into Meadville today and Wednesday should be prepared to find creative ways around Park Avenue as workers mill and pave the street.

W.L. Dunn Construction is expected to continue milling Park today, then follow with paving Wednesday.

Meadville Assistant Police Chief Tom Liscinski said there is no official detour because the road will be open except where construction is taking place. “This is the biggest one,” he said of the summer paving work.

Other major Meadville-area road work, according to an estimated schedule, will include Randolph Street from Terrace Street to North Main Street. Milling will be Wednesday and paving will be Thursday.

Plus, Pennsylvania Avenue between routes 322 and 102 will be milled and paved Thursday, and Rogers Ferry Road will be milled Wednesday and paved Thursday.

Work will continue in the area through late this month. The project is under the administration of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and it includes work in Meadville and Vernon and West Mead townships.
