Freeze warning set for Meadville, other nearby areas

A freeze warning has been issued for Thursday morning in northwestern Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio by the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

The freeze warning is in effect on Thursday from 2 to 10 a.m. for areas in Pennsylvania that include Meadville, Edinboro and Erie and those in Ohio that include but are not limited to Cleveland, Chardon and Jefferson.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the lower 30s overnight for areas away from the immediate lakeshore. The temperature is expected to reach the freezing mark around 2 a.m. and continue past sunrise.
