Police stop suspected mobile meth lab

Meadville Tribune

MEADVILLE — Two female suspects are being arraigned this afternoon on Meadville Police charges in connection with operating a methamphetamine laboratory.

Police had received a tip about a white van in Meadville being operated as a mobile methamphetamine laboratory, Michael Tautin, assistant chief of police said. The van was spotted by officers this morning and stopped on traffic violations, he said.

Once stopped, officers spotted suspected elements used to make the drug and agents from the Pennsylvania Office Attorney General’s mobile methamphetamine task force were summoned to process the van, he said.
