The Conneaut School District is trying to decide what it should do with its athletic trophies from the three former high schools — Conneaut Lake, Conneaut Valley and Linesville — and the public has an opportunity to become involved in the process.
A three-option survey is provided at conneautsd.org for the public to let its voice be heard. The survery will help determine how the trophies should be handled, displayed and stored.
The three options are: Putting the state championship and runner-up trophies and District 10 championships from all three former high schools at CASH, while all other trophies remain at their current buildings; leave all trophies at their present locations with new CASH trophies to be housed at CASH with some consolidation of current Linesville trophies; or an “other” option that allows those interested to provide their ideas and solutions.
The three Conneaut-area high schools consolidated in June 2012 to become Conneaut Area Senior High School. CASH is housed at the former Linesville High School, while the former Conneaut Lake and Conneaut Valley high school buildings now house their respective middle schools.
In addition to conneautsd.org, surveys are available at Conneaut high school. Once completed, the survey must be signed and mailed to Conneaut Schools Superintendent Jarrin Sperry, 219 W. School Drive, Linesville, Pa. 16424; or dropped off at the central school office in Linesville.
The deadline to respond to the survey is March 15.
