Children age 12 and under and their parents or guardians who preregister are welcome at the Crawford County ABATE (Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education) Christmas dinner and party Dec. 19 beginning at 6 p.m. at Stone United Methodist Church on Diamond Park in Meadville.
There is no charge to participants but they must register by Dec. 13 by emailing the following information — parents or guardians names, address and phone number; each child’s name, age and gender; and how many adults will attend — to Pat Malley at firstname.lastname@example.org, Julie Gates at email@example.com or JoAnne Dederick at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to put ABATE Christmas Party in the subject line. Those who do not have access to email may call Gates at 336-4912 or Dederick at 282-4592 after 5 p.m.
All participants will be served a meal in the church’s Kingsley Hall, followed by a visit with Santa Claus at the Meadville YMCA. Children will receive a gift.
Crawford County ABATE holds this annual event to give back to the community. Fundraisers are held through the year, including an annual gun raffle, to help offset the costs. Donations to help with the party are appreciated and are tax-deductible. Contact Gates for more information on making donations.
Crawford County ABATE is a chapter of ABATE of Pennsylvania, which is dedicated to the protection of the individual rights of motorcyclists through political change, charitable works and public education.
