Free, safe prescription drug disposal offered

SADSBURY TOWNSHIP — Local law enforcement is working with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration to coordinate a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The agencies coordinate a collaborative effort focused on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from medicine cabinets.

People may dispose of unwanted, unused or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications free of charge for destruction by law enforcement officers.

The anonymous service is free and open to the public.

Drop off sites in Crawford County and nearby areas on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. are listed below.
