Cambridge Springs Volunteers look for volunteers

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — The Cambridge Springs Volunteer Fire Department 61st annual Carnival and Parade is Aug. 7 through 10 at Cambridge Springs Carnival Grounds, and many parts of the event are still in process of coming together.

Organizers are still looking for those who would like to be in the Spa Spectacular talent competition. Anyone from seventh grade to adult can participate and show off talent that they may have. The last day to register for the spectacular by calling Autumn Lundin at (814) 464-4056 is July 29. The Spa Spectacular is Aug. 9 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The 5K run/walk is Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. with registration at 6:30. Pre-registering before Saturday through Tami Boylan at (814) 240-9826 guarantees a T-shirt.

The Grand Parade is Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. — rain or shine. Organizers ask that any person or organization such as queens, pageant winners, fire departments, twirling groups, high school marching bands, floats, animals or churches call 720-7027 or 398-8001 for more information or to register a spot in the parade. Organizers request that those who want to take part in the parade sign up no later than Aug. 1.
