Edinboro U to dedicate new Meadville location

MEADVILLE — Already bustling with educational activity since the start of the spring semester, the new location of Edinboro University at Meadville, The Joseph T. Buba Center will be formally dedicated on Wednesday.

University and community officials, along with the center’s namesake, Joe Buba, and his wife, Eleonora, will participate in the ribbon cutting on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at 890 Market St. in the Kepler Commons.

The center’s new location in the heart of Meadville offers the latest in technology and educational offerings designed to meet the needs of Crawford County students and the region.

Edinboro University President Julie E. Wollman said the educational enhancements offered by the new location reflect a new chapter in the University’s history of service to the community.

“We are absolutely committed to student success at Edinboro University,” Wollman said. “For students of all ages in the Meadville area who work while pursuing higher education, making Edinboro’s exceptional educational offerings available close to home is an essential component of success. We also are committed to responding to the needs of the community, and through programs such as our associate of applied science in applied technology degree, the university is helping to create a better-prepared workforce.”

Edinboro University in Meadville, The Joseph T. Buba Center offers an array of credit and continuing education courses to prepare individuals for career advancement and enable employers in a range of fields to foster needed skills among their workers.
