Meadville Tribune

MEADVILLE — Erie Vet Center invites the community to attend the kickoff celebration of the Boots on the Ground outreach initiative on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crawford County Veterans Services Office in the Meadville Downtown Mall.

The initiative is aimed at promoting access to Veterans Administration services, decreasing barriers to care and reaching out to make a personal connection to veterans and their families.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is at 10 a.m. Following the ceremony, Vet Center staff, VA staff, a Crawford County veteran service officer and several veteran service organizations will be available to connect with veterans and their families in attendance and link them with VA services.

Veterans and their families can learn about readjustment counseling offered by the Vet Center, receive free blood pressure checks from VA medical center staff and connect with veteran-related resources in the area for an added level of support.
