Memorial Day observances in county

MEADVILLE — Richmond Township

The service is at the Richmond Township Memorial on Route 408 at 10 a.m. Guest speaker is Bob Potts, a veteran and a resident of the township. There will be special music.

Saegertown

Services, sponsored by Saegertown American Legion Post 205 and Auxiliary Unit 205, are at 9 a.m. at the town square.

The Saegertown High School Marching Band will perform and the guest speaker will be Howard Roxberry.

School awards will be presented to two eighth grade high honor students.

There will be a rifle salute.

Immediately following the service, light refreshments will be served at Post 205 at Route 198 and Park Avenue Extension.

If there is inclement weather, the service will be held indoors at Post 205.

Sandy Lake/Stoneboro

An observance is at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County, at 10 a.m. with guest speaker Lt. Cmdr. Charles Crane of the U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps.

Boy Scout Troop 2 of Stoneboro serves as Honor Guard. Bagpiper Lawrence Bubeck, The National Anthem sung by Chris Gilliland and selections provided by Lakeview High School Marching Band will be performed.

In case of inclement weather, the observance will be moved to the Lakeview United Methodist Church across from the cemetery.

Spring Township

The service at Spring Cemetery, Spring Township, is at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Marshall Lillie as guest speaker.
