Popular drug collection drop boxes a safe way to dispose of medications


MEADVILLE — Crawford County has four locations where unwanted prescription and non-prescription medications may be disposed anonymously, safely and for free under the new Pennsylvania MedReturn program.

The unwanted drugs may be dropped off at the following locations:

- Crawford County Courthouse lobby, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday;

- Conneaut Lake Regional Police Department, 9778 Route 285, Conneaut Lake, any time;

- Linesville Police Department, 127 E. Erie St., Linesville, 8 a.m. to midnight, most weekdays; and

- West Mead Township Building, 1150 Morgan Village Road, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The boxes will not accept intravenous solutions, injectable solutions or needles.
