Crawford County unemployment rate falls below state and national levels

MEADVILLE — Crawford County’s unemployment rate has fallen for the month of July.

The county’s seasonally adjusted employment rate fell to 7.2 percent for July, down from 7.8 percent in June, according to statistics released today form the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.

The local rate also is down from the unemployment rate of 7.9 percent recorded in July 2012.

Crawford County’s rate is below both the state at 7.5 percent and the national rate of 7.4 percent for July.
