LINESVILLE — A replacement is being sought for Conneaut School Board member Lorri Drumm, whose resignation was accepted during the board’s December monthly meeting. Drumm, whose term expires in December 2015, told the board she’s resigning due to personal commitments including restrictions placed on her time as she pursues additional education.

Representation on the Conneaut board is divided among three geographic regions, with voters in each region electing three members of the nine-member board. All school board members in Pennsylvania are elected to serve four-year terms.

Drumm represented Region 2, which includes the boroughs of Conneautville and Springboro and Summit, Spring and Summerhill townships.

Applicants must be residents of Pennsylvania, at least 18 years of age, residents of the district for at least one year and residents of Region 2.

Applications must be made in writing to Beth Moss, secretary to the superintendent, Central Administration Building, Conneaut School District, 219 West School Drive, Linesville, Pa. 16424, on or before 4 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2014.

Interviews will be conducted Jan. 8 during a special public work session in the central administration building with an approximate start time of 5:30 p.m. The exact start time for the work session will be determined by the number of applicants. The board will then act on the appointment at the already-scheduled combined work session and board meeting scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Alice Schafer Annex gymnasium on the district’s Linesville campus.
