Allegheny College invites area children to attend its Saturday football game against Carnegie Mellon as the Gators participate in NCAA Football’s 11th annual “Take a Kid to the Game” program. Kickoff at Frank B. Fuhrer Field is set for 3:30 p.m., with stadium gates open at 1:30.

The program coincides with the football program’s annual Community Day, when admission to the game is free. Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the day, while the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a special giveaway. The game will be telecast live on Fox SportsNet Pittsburgh.

Allegheny College is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that will host a game in the “Take a Kid to the Game” campaign, which gives institutions an opportunity to introduce area youth to the institutions’ athletics programs as well as to the college or university itself.
