TITUSVILLE — A 23-year-old Titusville man who was allegedly operating multiple methamphetamine-manufacturing labs was arrested Wednesday and placed in Crawford County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.

According to Director Dennis Tobin of the Attorney General’s Office in Erie, the Meth Task Force, assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police and Titusville Police Department, served a search warrant on Shane Shreffler’s 45782 Route 27 home in Titusville. At that location they reportedly found a quantity of marijuana and meth oil, which is the liquid that precedes the manufacture of the final drug product. Also, hidden in a closet, law enforcement officials also found a meth box, or a mobile lab, containing all of the components needed for production, Tobin said.

From the Route 27 location the Meth Task Force then served a second search warrant at 12292 Dotyville Road in Titusville, owned by a family member of Shreffler. There Tobin said officers found a recreational vehicle that contained a second lab that was equipped to manufacture methamphetamines but was not operational at the time of the seizure.

Shreffler was charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamines and three counts of possessing iodine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamines.
