Area events offer something for the whole family
Jamestown Community Fair
Although this fair may have started out as an agricultural project, it has blossomed into a much-anticipated community celebration. The first Jamestown Community Fair was held in 1945, and the parade, held Saturday at 1 p.m., has become the fair’s keystone event. Admission is free, but there is a charge for grandstand events. Fair board president Dane Mitchell said each year they “try to do something new and different” to improve the fair. Go to www.jamestownpa.com/fair for more information.
