Magisterial District Judge

n Trae Charles McFarland, 19, whose address is in care of Carol Glover, 1096 S. Main St., Meadville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge William Chisholm on Meadville Police Department charges of escape, resisting arrest, driving without a license and careless driving for a Feb. 14 incident and was released on $5,000 monetary bail.

n Daniel William Paul, 34, of 315 N. Martin St., Titusville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on city police charges of two counts of driving under the influence, second offense, and two summary traffic violations for a May 23 incident and was released on his own recognizance.

Meadville Police

n An 81-year-old woman and her son were looking at South Main Street apartments June 27 at 4 p.m. When they went between buildings, an unrestrained brown Labrador retriever-boxer mix dog bit the woman’s left arm and hand. The victim was taken to Meadville Medical Center, where she was treated for a dog bite and released. Charges are pending.

n It was reported July 7 that account information had been used to take money from a bank account belonging to a Woodring Road resident.

n Compact discs were taken from two unlocked vehicles parked in a public parking lot near Mickey’s Central Fire Station Restaurant and Lounge on Park Avenue on July 6 between 1 and 1:30 a.m.

n An unidentified person in a green-colored van pumped $70 in gas from the pump at the Country Fair on North Street and left without paying July 4 at 12:27 a.m.

n Overnight between July 3 and 4, an unidentified individual destroyed an Obama for President sign in the yard of a North Street residence.

n A golf bag, golf clubs and a set of binoculars were taken from a vehicle in a parking lot near the Eagles Club on Water Street between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. July 4.

n A Magellan model 2200 Roadmate GPS unit was taken from an unlocked sport utility vehicle parked overnight the evening of July 1 at its owner’s Chestnut Street residence.

n Car keys and $40 in cash were taken June 28 from a customer at Market Street Scene on Market Street.
