CHILDREN’S THEATER SERIES: Taking place at PlayhouseSquare in Cleveland, with a season ticket price of $40 for four shows to introduce children to live theater. The 2013-14 Children’s Theater Series includes ‘Me and My Shadow,’ on Nov. 2; ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favorites’ on Jan. 18, 2014; ‘DiNO-Light’ on Feb. 8, 2014; and ‘Pinocchio’ on May 10, 2014. ‘A PLOT OF MURDER’: The Academy Theatre holds auditions for the Spotlight Production ‘A Plot of Murder’ on Aug. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Aug., 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. This production is a murder mystery dinner theater taking place at the Baldwin Reynolds House Oct. 18 to 20 directed by Tom Hall. Needed is a cast of six males and five females ranging in age from late teens to 70s. First time auditioners are encouraged. This is fit for someone intimidated by a big show.
