GRUNGE BAND HEADING TO RADIO

From the southland of North Carolina, Fighting Instinct’s self-titled effort rips onto the international scene with an angry, petulant little debut of a CD. Drawing strong comparisons to Alice in Chains — evident in the opening track, “I Found Forever,” and frontman T.J. Harris’ aesthetics in particular — Fighting Instinct is certainly liable to be dismissed as grunge-era revival. On the other hand, if there’s one thing these guys do have going for them, it’s a whole album ready to head straight for the radio. Listen for them on blue-collar-rock stations.
