Both Moore-Yount and Bittman praised the collaborative cookbook effort done in conjunction with Armstrong, the area’s cable television provider and Giant Eagle, a local supermarket, as well as 42 other local sponsors.

“This project with the Mind-Body Wellness Center exceeded my expectations,” said Moore-Yount. “They’ve been first class and went well above the call of duty. It goes to show you what local companies can do to create and promote a healthy lifestyle.”

“Then to take it to the market and have local businesses jump onboard to support the project was really gratifying,” she said.

“I’m really excited about it,” Bittman said. “It’s a quality product. We hope it gives meaningful insights and wonderful information for people for years to come.”

There are 42 tickets remaining for 4:30 p.m. Savor the Flavor live show at The Movies in Meadville. Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. show are sold out.

Tickets are $5 each and are available only in advance at The Meadville Tribune’s office, 947 Federal Court, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Proceeds from the shows benefit the Tribune’s Newspaper In Education program. It provides newspapers free of charge for use by teachers in 150 classrooms in Crawford County plus literacy programs throughout the county.
