Tons of family-friendly fun across the region this weekend

MEADVILLE — TRAIN SHOW AND RIDES: Show is Saturday and Sunday, Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad, 409 S. Perry St., Titusville. Everyone is welcome. Come spend a day looking for those hard to find trains and accessories. This is a great time to ask the experts or just to look around. Check out the show and then ride the train through “the valley that changed the world” either day.

OIL REGION INDIE MUSIC FESTIVAL: Sixth annual festival features more than 40 independent singer-songwriters performing all-original work in eight venues Friday at 5 p.m. in downtown Oil City. Music continues as long as the lights are on, with some venues not wrapping up until 2 a.m. Saturday. The festival also features a street fair and an art show on Seneca Street. Musical acts will perform at six spaces inside restaurants and bars and two outdoor spots, the main stage on Seneca Street and at the local skate park. Admission to all venues is free.
