Tribune columnist hosts book signing on Saturday

MEADVILLE — Tribune columnist and retired local businessman Gary DeSantis will sign copies of his first book, “The 6th Floor,” Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon at DeSantis Janitor Supply, 100 Mead Ave., Meadville.

Seven years in the making, the book is set in the early 20th century, which DeSantis describes as “the most exciting century in American history,” and the plot revolves around how “a regular guy found his place in that history.”

Some of the book is set in Meadville because, after all, as DeSantis points out, “you should write what you know and I know a little about Meadville.”

The community is invited to Saturday’s event to meet and speak with DeSantis and celebrate the book’s publication.
