A Meadville man who set a Meadville Housing Authority apartment on fire last year has been sentenced in Crawford County Court of Common Pleas to 11 1/2 to 24 months less one day in county jail.

Don C. Dillen, 37, of 859 Water St., pleaded guilty to one count of arson endangering property in connection with the August fire.

Dillen was charged by Meadville Police for intentionally lighting a mattress on fire in a second-story bedroom of a duplex apartment at 346 Autumn Drive. The incident involved a dispute over drugs, according to authorities.

The fire caused about $41,000 in damage to the unoccupied apartment, according to authorities.
