OIL CREEK TOWNSHIP —
Two Titusville men were killed when the side-by-side all-terrain-vehicle they were riding in collided head-on with a car on Route 8 Friday night near Titusville.
Devon Patrick Beach, 22, the driver of the side-by-side ATV was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot in Erie, after being flown there for treatment of his injuries, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Corry.
Also killed was a passenger, Ryan James Rose, 23, of Titusville, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Beach was driving south on Route 8, but drove out into the northbound lane attempting to pass another vehicle when the ATV collided head-on with a northbound car at 6:50 p.m., police said.
The ATV collided head-on in the northbound lane with a car driven by Dewey Alden Wagner, 70, of Tionesta, which was driving north, police said.
Neither Beach nor Rose was wearing a seat belt, police said.
Wagner was taken to Titusville Area Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
