NEW LOCAL: Police release identity of Saturday crash victim

CUSSEWAGO TOWNSHIP — Pennsylvania State Police this morning released the identity of a New York state man killed in a one-car crash on Interstate 79 on Saturday afternoon.

Brian King, 28, of Amherst, N.Y.,  was driving north at a high rate of speed when he crashed just after 4 p.m. at Milepost 159.8 in Cussewago Township, state police at Meadville said.

King was wearing a seat belt, but sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by officials from the Crawford County Coroner’s Office.
