Flood watch issued for Crawford County starting Thursday

A flood watch is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning in portions of northwest Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio, according to the National Weather Service stationed in Cleveland.

The watch includes Crawford and Erie counties.

A combination of melting snow and rain will produce at threat of flooding. Ice jams on area rivers may also produce flooding, the NWS said.

Between a quarter and a half inch of rain is possible Thursday night into Friday morning. Also, possible wind gusts could top 40 mph.
