Flood warning in effect for region throughout Wednesday morning

Crawford and Erie counties remain under a flood warnings until Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. as another round of showers and thunderstorms is forecast to move through the area this afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland.

Many areas received between 1 and 2 inches of rain Monday. With storms today capable of producing very heavy rainfall and the ground already saturated in some areas, any additional heavy rain could run off and quickly lead to flooding, according to the National Weather Service.
