The Blue Streak roller coaster at Conneaut Lake Park is back in operation, according to George Deshner, the park’s director of operations.
The coaster’s 75-horsepower electric motor was damaged last Thursday by a lightning strike. A spare motor had to be reconditioned and installed to get the ride back up and running.
Installation of the motor was completed Tuesday and it was wired into the ride and tested this morning.
The roller coaster was operational when the park opened for business at noon, Deshner said.
