Fire companies called to Hydetown house blaze

HYDETOWN — At least four fire departments are on the scene of a reported house fire between Hydetown and Titusville.

Hydetown, Chapmanville and Cherry Tree volunteer fire departments, along with Titusville Fire Department, were called to the fire next to the Oaks Tavern off Route 8 at 8:13 p.m.

Initial reports to Crawford County 911 from firemen arriving at the scene indicated the second floor of the home was on fire.

All of those in the home at the time of the blaze got out safely, according to emergency radio transmissions from the 911 Center to firemen.
