Area under flash flood warning until midnight

MEADVILLE — The National Weather Service in Cleveland has announced a flash flood warning for Crawford County, effective until midnight tonight.

Just before 4 p.m., the NWS Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain is possible with the incoming storms this afternoon and evening. The radar indicates the heaviest rain could mainly affect areas south of Interstate 90.

Locations expected to be impacted include Meadville, Erie, and both Jefferson and Ashtabula, Ohio.
